GROUP RULES
The goals of our group are to help each other with any work we have available, as well as sharing tips, tricks and other information that we have learned about Farm Town to make it an even more enjoyable game. As the group has grown we feel there is a need to point out what we expect of our members.
Our number 1 rule of the group is to be kind and respectful to ALL members. Please do not flame other sites or groups, or any person you may disagree with. If you have a problem with another member of the group, contact one of the Admins on duty by message and let them help you try to work out the problem. Do not complain on the group wall!!
Second most important thing we need to make very clear is that no member may block a member of the Admin team because all admins need to be able to message any member if we need to. Blocking someone also means their posts can't be seen. We need to be able to see all posts in the group. To block an admin WILL result in banning from the group.
Do not post links to other groups, websites or 3rd party sites on the group wall!! If you feel you've found something that could benefit other members of the group, please DO send the information to a member of the Admin team. We will check to make sure it's a safe site, make sure your "trick" works, and just generally verify that the information you wish to share is accurate and safe.
As we all know, there are links posted every day on Facebook that lead to sites that are infected with all manner of viruses, scams and spam. Although the link you post might be totally safe, and even helpful, if we allow you to post yours, then others are going to think it's ok to post others, and at some point, someone is going to end up with a virus. Even links that aren't necessarily infected with a virus can lead to problems you're all familiar with, like some of the spam that harvest your friend list and then resend themselves to everyone on your friend list, then send themselves to everyone on your friends' friend list, etc.etc.etc....We want all our members to know that if they click on a link in this group, that it's a safe link! The only way we can protect all of you is to say that nobody can post links to outside sources of any kind. Of course if you feel you have a helpful site, please do send it to one of the Admins! We'll check it out, and if it's safe and helpful, we'll be happy to give you the credit!!
Posting Rules
Please do NOT create a thread to ask for work. We welcome all responses to offers of work, but please do not make a new post saying "I am looking for work" or anything to that effect. We are a large group, and if half the members are looking for workers, and the other half are looking for work, you can see how this would be impossible to manage as well as extremely confusing!
When offering to help another member with a job, please wait for a reply. Do not offer on several different jobs at the same time. Take ONE job at a time! If several minutes have passed and the hiring farmer has not responded to your offer to help, please "tag" them. To "tag" you just start typing their name. A list of names that match should pop up for you to choose from. This will give them an extra notification. If too many with the same name, try using the last name. If you still don't get a reply within a reasonable time, please just say something like "offer withdrawn".
Do not show up on a farm asking for work using a hiring farmers posted link without responding to the post first. This is not fair to the person who asked for the job.
Any post that causes more than a healthy discussion between members will be deleted by a member of the Admin team! We expect a group this large to have people with different ideas and thoughts, but we REQUIRE a level of civility that takes into consideration that there may be young people reading what is said, new members who wonder what the heck they've gotten themselves into and the main rule of this group, which is to be kind to each other. If you have questions as to why a post disappears, you are free to contact one of the Admins that is on duty at the time by private message ONLY.
A member of the Admin team will post that the discussion is OVER if they feel the subject has been beat to death or feels it's getting out of hand. Any comments after this official post will be deleted and the member posting may receive a warning
Accounts in the group
We allow every member to have two accounts in the group. (one primary, one secondary) If more have been added, we ask the member to please remove any above two accounts. If you have a secondary account, please just let us know who you are.
We do not allow cherry picking. For further reading what this means please go to the Cherry Picking page.
If you have trouble with any other member in the group, DO NOT try and resolve it on the wall. Contact
an admin and we will see what we can do to solve the problem.
If you have a problem that you need to discuss in private about the group OR the Admins, please contact Chris Ronkoski by Private Message. Be assured that we take your concerns very seriously and want to know if anyone (even admins) are making your time in the group anything other than useful and enjoyable!
We hope you will enjoy your time with us at the Nutt House!
